The Galería Elba Benítez is pleased to announce the coming exhibition of work by Carlos Bunga, opening on November 19, 2022.
Under the title of Luces y sombras [Lights and shadows], the exhibition is presented as a contemplative continuation of his project at the Palacio de Cristal in Madrid earlier this year, which was entitled Against the Extravagance of Desire.
In his site-specific installations, Bunga approaches space via improvisation and dialogue with the pre-existing architecture; his drawings always emerge afterward as new ways of considering the site. With this exhibition, Bunga presents for the first time the same project on consecutive occasions: the installation and the drawings, videos and photographs that offer a more intimate view of his creative process and his thinking.
Luces y sombras is Carlos Bunga’s sixth solo exhibition at Galería Elba Benítez.
