Ir al motivo

The Galería Elba Benítez is pleased to present /08/, an annual cycle of exhibitions organized by Alejandro Cesarco that take place when the gallery is closed for its summer break. Each one of them, independent of its format, is designed as the summer exhibition of the Elba Benítez Gallery.

/08/ opens its program in 2023 with the publication of Ir al motivo by Mariano Mayer, Argentine writer and curator based in Madrid.

This new book of poems by Mayer is composed of a series of observation exercises, where what is exposed are forms of attention and the distortions and differences that these produce, taking into account the double meaning of motive alluded to in the title. Each poem records what was perceived and tries to discover something that had not been noticed before.
